What is Fontella Swiss?

fontellaswiss_wintershades-500.jpg

Fontella Swiss is a dream brought to life by Artist/Designer Beka K. Pica in an effort to fulfill her desire to found a multidisciplinary design-centric studio that embodies the true essence of her passion for art, creativity and imagination. The logo was inspired by her adoration of the infallible Swiss font family, a sophisticated combination of modern yet traditional typography that reflects the passion and experience that the founder brings to the profession. The Swiss font family was the first set of fonts she used at her first TV design job and she was hooked on the beautiful font. She viewed the font like a character in a James Bond movie or some comic book heroine that is bold and unforgettable. The Fontella Swiss logo is a homage to the bygone era of trail blazing designers such as Paul Rand, Josef Müller-Brockmann, Leonetto Cappiello & Alphonse Mucha.
